  1. I am looking to mix essential oils and would love to buy in bulk from ya’ll. I live in Atlanta and love the idea that ya’ll are close to home!

    1. Hi Barbara, thank you for your question! It is not currently feasible for us to properly store hydrosol for long periods for all of our species so we don’t keep an inventory of it. We do however have two hydrosols that have proven to be extremely shelf stable: Ginger, and a co-distill of African Blue Basil and Tulsi Basil. Hydrosol is shipped in HDPE (2 and 4 oz sizes) or amber PET bottles (8 oz size) and orders/requests can be sent to ian@blueridgearomatics.com. Thank you!

    1. Hi Marla and thank you for your question! Our White Pine oil is wild-crafted and a gentle disinfectant so is generally regarded as safe for topical use. As with most essential oils, people with sensitive skin may have a slight reaction to the oil so it is best to test your soap blend on a small area before widespread use. We recommend 5-10 drops per ounce of liquid soap or carrier oil.

    1. Hi Shereen, thank you for your question! Yes, the Fraser Fir oil is 100% pure essential oil (not diluted or adulterated) and entirely from Fraser Fir (Abies fraseri) needles and small branches.

  2. Hi,
I was wondering if you would have the white pine available anytime soon. I received a small sample bottle, it smells wonderful and would really like to get more.
I always get the ginger, it is hands down THEE BEST ginger and actually smells like fresh ginger. I also have the Fraser fir which I love.

    1. Thank you for the wonderful kudos! We have a new batch of White Pine essential oil that is aging as we speak. It should be ready by September 24th or sooner. The aging process removes sulfur-based “still notes” so that the oils we sell smell clean, fresh and just like the plants!

  3. Would adding Frasier fir essential oil to DIY household cleaning solutions be feasible or a waste of the EO? I am looking for ways to use & enjoy the Frasier fir scent throughout the year.

    1. Hello, thanks for your question! Yes, the Fraser Fir oil makes a wonderful addition to household cleaners! It is disinfectant and the powerful aroma tends to stick around longer than most essential oils. You may find that you need only about 2-5 drops per oz of cleaner.

  4. Hi!
I bought your Frasier Fir oil. How do I use it to scent my home ? Any special ideas for Christmas ? Thanks

    1. Hi Joan! Thank you for your purchase and question! The most common (and efficient) way to use the essential oil to scent your home would be by using a diffuser. These are often ultrasonic with the use of water to provide some humidification as well. There are a wide variety of diffusers. One of our favorites is a portable one that can be powered by batteries or USB. It’s called the “Aromafier.” This one passes air through a felt pad that you have dropped oils onto.

A few more ideas: If you have a wood stove or monitor/radiator heater, you can set a pot of water on it with a few drops of essential oil. You can also add a few drops directly to a humidifier. Or it can be as simple as a cloth pad or piece of wood, strategically placed (or hung on a Christmas tree) with a few drops of oil on it.

  5. Is it possible to order the Fraser fir oil for shipment ahead of time that it will be ready on December 1st and just pay ahead so that it can be shipped out when ready?

  6. I happened upon your website and so happy to see all of your products and so close to my home! Are any of your oils food grade/ingestable? I am looking for a more local manufacturer for food grade oils. Thank you!

    1. Hi Jennifer and thank you for your question! Thanks also for your patience; we have been super busy with a big Fall harvest/distillation. Legally, to indicate our products for consumption would require that they be categorized as “Nutritional Supplements” with the FDA, which is not feasible at our current scale.

Some essential oil species are poisonous if consumed while others are “Generally Recognized as Safe [for consumption]” (GRAS) by the FDA but at extremely low dilutions. In general (but not always), if it is a common food (like Ginger, Lemon, Peppermint, etc) it is most likely GRAS. We are not certified to produce food products but our process and oil-handling is sterile and GMP guidelines are followed. Our oils are 100% pure with no additives, diluents or adulterants. They are also handled only in stable materials such as stainless steel, glass and in the case of our bottle caps, chemical-resistant and PCB-free HDPE plastic (food grade plastic). This answer isn’t as simple as I wish it were but I hope it is helpful. Thanks again, – Ian

  7. Hello , I need Hemp (Flower) Essential Oil and now it’s not available , kindly tell me when it will be available>

  8. Hi! Can you please tell me when more of the white pine oil will be available? I was hoping to buy some more very soon. Thank you.

    1. Hi Amanda, thank you for your question! Our next batch of White Pine Essential Oil is distilled and aging. It will need around 3 more weeks to reach its true-to-plant aroma so we expect to have it back in stock before August 1st. – Ian
