100% pure and authentic fresh Ginger Root essential oil. Steam-distilled in NC from “waste” juiced organic fresh ginger root from a Vermont-based juice maker. The Ginger was organically-grown in the jungles of Peru. Warming, calming, anti-inflammatory and a digestive aid. Smells bright, warm and spicy with hints of lemon; like fresh-cut ginger root. Most Ginger essential oil is produced from dried ginger root and it smells more like a ginger cookie than the fresh root (and sometimes dirty socks!). Fresh Ginger root essential oil is far different and has a bright, invigorating, citrusy aroma. This essential oil is steam-distilled from fresh certified-organic Peruvian Ginger root pulp that has been juiced by A Drop of Joy, LLC in Vermont. Each 5ml bottle contains the pure aromatic essence of 1.5 lbs of freshly juiced whole roots.
Ginger oil can be photo-sensitizing and may create a slight burning sensation on sensitive skin so use diluted and avoid using on skin that will be exposed directly to the sun. Fresh Ginger oil is anti-inflammatory, contains up to 4.5% Curcumin, and we use it most frequently for temporary headache relief (most people report that a drop or two on the 3rd eye or temples helps surprisingly for all but the most intense headaches).

Hi Michelle, thank you for your question! Yes, this Ginger oil is lovely in a diffuser. With repeated use in some waterless diffusers it is a little more prone to leave a residue than most essential oils. If it does a leave a residue, rubbing alcohol or soap and water will remove it.
